I never wanted to love you. I had been burned bad by love before and never wanted to go through that ever again. I had long ago decided that I wouldn't open myself or my heart to that kind of vulnerability again. But when it came to you, I lost all sense of self control. It was not my damn choice! I had no say in the decision as my heart took the fall and soared through the clouds of the unknown towards you.
Such a naive little thing this heart of mine. It was so certain that you would catch it!!
Instead, you stepped aside at the last moment and let it smash into the ground....
