A wish
Hopes are fading
Snow has frozen the rose
The warmth that I keep under the root
may go deep
as the winter grows
Back to the spring of Feb
Shining red-clad from head to toe;
my eyes went blank,
but I never fell down with leaves,
though I didn't count the rest
Summer was sweet;
still painted in red
Budding warmth;
brightened rose
What else could I wish for?
Wish I could dig deep,
at least up to six feet
Shivering heart; no clothes
Wish I could see again,
under the November rain,
the blooming rose
