Plight of raindrops
Raindrops didn't want to fall,
They pleaded the cloud to hold on,
If I don't let go,
I would burst in an instant,
Cloud replied without easing their torment,
They pleaded the leaves to hold onto them,
So they could get a smooth landing,
Leaves said we are helpless,
Coz most of the jungle is now of concrete,

With no one able to address their plight,
Raindrops determined to put up a fight,
As they were afraid of the hurt they would get from the impact,
They decided to evaporate themselves,
Fell in the ocean to avoid their bitter end,
Clouds also started getting lighter and started to move around,
The suffering began on the land where rain became inconsistent with floods and droughts..

Sin of the cities, villages have to pay the price,
Jungle of concrete expands unrestrained,
Whether it's the sea or the mountain highs,
Testing nature humans are pushing to it's limits,
Natural sights that made us go Wow!!,
We can save as the wallpaper on our screens now,
Who cares what happens to the real IT..

I could easily stroll around a village with my VR set,
Lungs will not be full of fresh air but tar,
But the medicine will take care of that.

Village life is not an aspiration,
So dissipation is natural,
Skyscrapers our ambition,
No signs of withdrawal,
Nature is limited to sanctuaries and national parks,
So pastoral life is nothing but a nostalgia for the past..
