In the shadows she hides, a girl once known so wide,
From winning prizes in school, to feeling lost inside.
No longer the star, her brilliance now unseen,
She longs for recognition, in a world so mean.
She didn't want to be notified in front,
But hated when they cut her off in short.

An old friend's words, meant to be kind,
"You're a genius, exams won't bind."
But the tone felt off, like a subtle taunt,
Embarrassment crept in, her confidence daunt.
Just before the exam she realised in shame,
People appreciating her doesn't feel the same.

As for studying, it's not the same as before,
But she shouldn't be too hard on herself, there's so much more.
She's growing and changing, finding her own way,
Success comes in different forms, each and every day.
She couldn't concentrate on the thing she should,
But everyone has their own lists that says the thing she would.

So she must keep her head up high, not lose sight,
For she's still amazing, even in the darkest night.
Believe in herself, and her potential will soar,
She'll find her path again, stronger than before.
