With a broken heart
Collaborative Poem with
Sharon Vimbayi Munodawafa
And
Roy Johannes Gama
With a broken heart
A seismic shift of feelings, like tectonic plates collide,
Leaving shattered fragments, scattered far and wide.
Now shattered into pieces.
Pieces left scattered on the floor,
Like shards of broken glass.
A soul once full of hope,
Now crushed into despair
Through my nerves, messages weave and wind,
Signals of discomfort, sensations unkind.
A fiery touch, a throbbing ache,
Pain emerges, like an unwelcome wake.
From the smallest cut to the deepest wound,
My broken heart alerts , a call to attention, resound
With a broken heart
All I am a shame
With no one to blame
I'm now never the same
I've given so much
I've gained nothing, but lots and lots of pain deep inside my heart
I've gained much sorrow pains, inside my heart
My heart is now broken, like a broken peace of glass
That of my heart which was lovely and once was pure white like snow
Is now bleeding covered with blood
