Optimistic
Bad things have happened and got worse and worse
Things to make you cry and sob and curse
But even when life is being so adverse
I've been getting better now the doctors sing
No beetles in my skull and while the bells do ring
I'm functioning fine and thoughts are coming faster
No red on me or my clothes nor a single plaster
The weight lurks and hangs over as nothing is okay
But I've been getting better now so I can save the day
The weight hanging over my conscience is the shape of the body
But that's a really weird thought wht are you acting funny
You can save them with apologies and money
Bad things still happen and life is worse and worse
But wear a smile even when people act perverse
Fit into society like every other thing
