Our Tomato Blooms
One fine afternoon
Against my window,
Long I stood.
I saw a budding plant.

In our pot which holds
A garden bloom,
Sprang another little bloom,
Adorned with crowns of tiny yellow flowers.

Unusual to me as it grew,
Of which origin or kind, I wish I knew.
I resorted to wait.
Time went on
And then finally came.

Yes, it did came! At last! At last!
Shedding a light to the blooms uncanny kind.
In those tiny yellow crowns grew,
A plump little fruit or not of lush green.
Tomato! I said amazed.

Now, our tomato blooms.
Thanks to the sun and a dash of time.
They painted our green tomatoes
To shiny red orange ones.
