Immaturity clouded every choice I made,
Now silence echoes where our laughter used to play,
Regret unfolds where memories slowly fade.

I chased the fleeting whims of a careless heart,
While you stood waiting, patient and sincere,
I failed to see the pain that tore us apart,
And now I face a future dark and unclear.

Your voice, a whisper in the shadows of my mind,
Speaks of dreams we built but failed to protect,
I see the love I lost, and now I find,
My heart was weighed down by sorrow and regret.

The moments of neglect are etched in time’s cruel book,
Each lapse is a reminder of what we could have been,
I look back, wishing for a second look,
To mend the bonds that I let slowly thin.

Now I live with lessons learned the hard way,
In every tear, I trace the path I missed,
