Scars
I've noticed among other things that the human skin is made to scar and that every kind of scar is different.
The causes, the reasons, the effects, the lessons, the regrets if any.
So my cuts, my burns, my scalds, I'm grateful for each one for they've taught me one lesson or the other.
What I'm still yet to notice is if the heart is made to scar as well. I wonder if the words that cut, the actions that scald, and the betrayal that burns scar.
Then maybe by the time I'm young enough to return to stardust, I'd have a body and a heart full of scars and chipped flesh and a mind full of stories to tell.
