A Father, A Friend
Oh, when it comes to my father, I see another friend,
My partner in fun and mischief that never ends.
Our bond is rare, a treasure so true,

No one pampers me like he does with care,
In childhood, the nights left me aware,
I'd cry and wait, madly calling out his name,
"Where's he?" and "When will he come home?" my heart still proclaims.

How can I forget those school days' delight?
You'd tie my shoelaces, making sure everything's right.
You'd gently brush my teeth while I slept tight,
Your love and care, a guiding light.

Weekends were adventures, memories to share,
Flying balloons, Mandatory fun, our special bonding time,
Creating memories, forever sublime.

I don't care who scolds, but when he does,
My heart breaks in the most tender ways.

Thank you, Krishna, for blessing me with a godly father,
A guardian, mentor and friend, forever intertwined.

For the world, I'll mature, but for you, I'll be your Child, forevermore.
