Autumn comes gently
bringing cool crisp air
on a lingering summer breeze.

Leaves change their colors
into red, gold and orange
letting green slip away with ease.

The days grow shorter
as the sun slips away
the encore paints a spectacular sky.

I breathe in and count my blessings
watching the night fade in
stars appear twinkling as God sighs.

My heart is light and thankful
I wish love and peace to all
may your blessings be as plentiful
as the colorful leaves in Fall.
