MENACE
Preceding demise,
The king gave caveat to his son
But ceded
With a sullied demeanor,
Congealed blood,
His lour eyes cast furtive stares
To the realm and the peoples,
The peoples that have given
Their dastardly Caesar what belongs to him.
His once mild heart is pierced by throes
“The crown taints souls”
His father’s last words re-echo
The benignant despot laments.
