The days were unending as were the nights,
She waited and waited and waited,
But there seemed no hope in sight…

The tears on a rainy day..
The wet pillows on those dark nights..
Made her remember that...
She's left with no lifeline to cling ..


Her heart once filled with hope...
Even on a journey of darkness,
The light of his promise
Still made her wait and wait...


Through the emptiness and pain,
Still she waited and waited...
For a chance to love again...
For a chance to let herself free...
From that prison of time..
