Haiti
Deep down within me
As a black clay dust
I know there is a deep centered
Hatred and insecurity
Resentment and anger
For a white person.

I Say this because,
There is this sense that has
Been Passed On from
Our great great grandfathers
To our grand fathers To us.
That the white man is
The cause of our suffering and hardship.
That the white man came along
To make us slaves,
That The white man
Came to Steal Our Gold.
That the white Man use our
Resources to develop His country.
That the White man exploits the white.

Back in Elementary school ,
I was taught in My Environmental Studies and social studies
Class That
White man came to rule and subject Us to Slavery.
This Mindset was placed
Placed On My Board as a kid.
Growing up,
It was a silent voice
A silent hate,
A gentle one
That was poisoning Me.
i hated The white man.

Not Knowing that,
Hatred is like Keeping your
Thermometer In Your enemy's
Room expecting to check
Your Temperature.
Also Like Keeping a coals
In Your Bosom and expecting
Your enemy to Burn.

Now
I have realized That,
The white Man is never
My Problem
The Brown is Never
My problem.
The Asian, Latino, Greek, Orange,
Is Never my Problem.

I am My own problem.
I am The Mess,
I am the dung,
Infact I need Help.
I am Broken.
I am Wounded.
I am Torn apart.
I need Help.
