Sun and Sky
(Not a “poem” just an old thought)
You are the sun. And I am the sky.
I can’t really do much except allow you to shine. Oh, but sometimes I do more harm than good. In an attempt to shield you, I block out a little of your light and I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.
I will keep changing but you will want me to stay constant. And I’ll go through feelings of clarity — clear and azure — and feelings of confusion and rage like ever shifting storm clouds. And you will have ups and downs.
There will be times when you are clear and bright and times when you’re calm and golden or times when you’re red and tired.
But we compliment each other, you and I, sun and sky.
