Love's A Witch's Poison
Of all the criss-cross webs in my chest,
You are the buzz that rips the nest.
In you I see the vastness of the Almighty.
And i begin to understand suicidal men.

You are a sickness that would eventually kill me.
And like a madman, I'd spray cannons of rage to whoever crosses your path.

You destroyed me,little one,
You and those eyelids,
That batter themselves slowly,
And dilate on need.

You forced me into madness,
Until finally, like a boomerang, I struck you.
When your eyes shut it killed me.
When you gasped in shock,it ruined me.
But freedom comes at a price,my dear.
Your scorpion's poison took me long to get by.
And now I watch the rest of you,
Stretched ablaze in your vanity.

Rest in peace, witch,
And let me embrace those tangles once more.
