Veiled Mystery
Veiled Mystery

Beneath the veil of shadows soft and thin,
A visage pale, like moonlight in the glade,
With eyes that whisper secrets from within,
Where twilight’s breath doth all its whispers fade.
A crimson rose, with petals rich and deep,
Holds court beside this face of beauty rare;
Its scarlet hue in silent vows doth keep,
The mysteries that in her gaze do flare.
The mist doth curl in ethereal flight,
As though to shield this maiden’s tender grace,
From mortal eyes that dare to pierce the night,
Yet falter in the shadows of her face.
O ghostly bloom, what tales thou dost enclose,
Betwixt the maiden's eyes and ruby rose.
