I search for a way, a guiding light,
To lead me from the darkness, through the night.
Oh, Lord, I pray, show me the path I should tread,
For one day, I fear, I'll succumb to thoughts of dread.

As I sit at this table, penning my life's tale,
I hope you understand, and my story won't fail.
When I depart from this world, shed no tears for me,
For I've lived my life, loved my family, and believed in Thee.

Though life's journey may come to an end,
Let it be said, I cherished every bend.
For in the laughter and tears, joys and strife,
I found purpose, love, and the meaning of life.

So, when my days dwindle and the sun sets low,
May my spirit find solace, as it begins to glow.
For in death's embrace, I'll find eternal rest,
Knowing I've lived fully, and I've done my best.

To my loved ones, dear friends, and those I hold close,
I leave you with memories, and a heartfelt dose.
Cherish each moment, for time quickly flies,
And may my departure remind you to be wise.

Life is fleeting, like a whisper in the breeze,
But love and kindness leave lasting legacies.
So, as I bid farewell and cross to the other side,
May you find peace, knowing love will forever abide.

For in the end, it's not the years we have amassed,
But the love we've shared, that will eternally last.
So, shed no tears, my dear ones, for my soul is free,
I've lived a life of purpose, and I've believed in Thee.
