The child with no soul
Bound down in chains detained my soul.
Hush the starvation of stories untold.
Bare and delicate the child within the cold.
Pride in their eyes they stand there and gloat.

The wings of the phoenix were doused by its tears.
There within the ashes it lies down in fears.
Profound within the corner of obscurity alone.
Quiet is the cries of the child with no soul.

Once there was light and this child had a soul.
Laughter and giggling from those days has grown old.
Covered up the distress masked with a grin.
Numerous questions each stranger would posture.
Spoiled the truth and the lie could be a rose.
