the first time I laid eyes on you
my heart started beating faster
I just didn't know what to do.

the first date we spent together
walking across the windswept moor
knee high in grass and purple heather.

the music started to play
you we're dressed all in white
because it was our wedding day.

I close my eyes and remember
a wonderful fulfilling life
filled with joy and happiness
because you had become my wife.

I close my eyes and remember
a time when everything was new
pain and guilt wasn't a around at all
and I was so in love with you.

I close my eyes and remember
an happier, loving safer place
where everything was different
and you didn't laugh in my face.

I close my eyes and remember
the fun and laughter we always had
but you always took it a bit to far
and complained if I got a little bit sad.

I close my eyes and remember
the day my life started falling apart
you said ,"you married me for a joke"
and that just broke my loving heart!

I close my eyes and remember
my life without pain and sorrow
I close my eyes for one last time
for there will be no tomorrow.
