our generation
We've heard them say, thought written down, passed around everywhere.
"We are a generation of broken hearted people"
Indeed, they don't lie, do they ever?
We are a generation of broken people, from inside out
But.
We are also, a generation of local warriors
Finding their own battles; those local skirmishes between our heart and brain
Fighting their own battles, the war is yet to come.
We are a generation of incorrigibly un-believable people,
A generation of scarred people, showing themselves off proudly; not always though
We are a generation of home grown intellectuals; the ones that strives for change
We are a generation of polluted minds; the ones that hold the refuse of gone times; not always though
We are a generation of starving people;
Starved of love, of touch, of intimacy
We are, often a misunderstanding generation
Bent on striking heads with one other.
We are, a misunderstood generation
Our silences, mistaken for arrogance, when they say all about those deep rooted insecurities
We are a hypocritically acclaimed generation;
Wanting and needing others to accept us, even though we can't accept ourselves the way we are.
We are, maybe a really lonesome generation;
Social media crowding up our heads, our lives, but where are people when we want them?
We are just, a easily, wooed away generation,
The prospects of the uncertain present and future; desires that pile up
We are, sometimes silent genration; the pleas mayhaps dying away right when they reach the lips
Screaming from the inside, clawing away the surface of our selves.
We are, the generation of psychopaths, those "feminists", the one with misogynistic ideals, of meninists
Of another stream; a river, or maybe an ocean of revolution.
Lying stagnant at times, but still hoping to turn the tides.
We are a generation of hope.
We are a flawed generation.
A generation of maybe-humans.
