Mama, Papa is wounded!
Mama, why did you leave?
You left him alone and scared
Decades later, we're alone and scared
Papa is missing -
Never knew his name or face so rare.

Where do we go?
Where do we begin?
His shadow follows us from the day we first breathe
But the succeeding years - silence,
Couldn't catch a gleam.

Maybe in strange seas where I spent wondering
The vastness of the ocean that might have swallowed him,
Or in green mountains, the place he calls home,
With his own Mama and Papa
And his new family that forced him to atone

For his sins, for coloring you blue
Making you wear sunglasses - morning and afternoon
I've seen you with raw blotches when my little brother was still in your womb
In the moth-eaten photos you kept in your room,
Stowed away in your closet;
A history you regretted so soon.

Mama, Papa is wounded!
And so are we,
We never get to meet the man in our dreams.
His drugs and whiskey forced you to flee
The wolf in sheep's clothing - it's time to bury

Him and our love, the end of the story
Forget him for good, it's best we should
I long for a man I could love real good.
It changed me, your eyes could see
After all these years - where's he?
Papa, if you could, set us free.

Room Half Empty

Fear of the Cross
Mama, Papa is wounded!
The day he fell silent
Letters from Theo
There's something about the dark - I feel safe
Dawn, don't forget me...
Our room has two doors
