They tied the knot tighter than tight,
It was love at first sight for each,
The death do us part creed has been proclaimed,
Cinching them as man and woman,
Before the eyes of all, certainly no one has an objection
As all waited with breath hung in space,
Months flew faster on supersonic wings,
As she gushed before all far and near,
What wonderful man and provider she has,
It was a new dress today and shopping the groceries tomorrow,
All smiles and snickers, young love was good for the soul
It did good for the heart to see such acts of gallantry,
A call shattered the illusion of what has been,
He was seen in the arms of a young thing while she waited,
Swollen with his offspring shooting out any moment.
