Locked up with my demons
in a darkened room
chafing in the dark
with lost souls and shadows
my body becomes famished
and my spirit thirsts for redemption.

Barricaded by my fears
the bars raised against me
crying helplessly in the dark
with lost emotions and feelings
my body becomes moth-eaten
and my flesh rendered to the night.
