Our story is of a fairytale to, but it's different from any story on disney....And more real & true....... Chena && Prince WickedOne...
There's no big beautiful castle, but homies next to the corner store hanging out greeting everyone as they pass.by nickname..There's no servants who will do everything you wish....But there's those who will be there for you, night or day, and do whatever they can if you need a helping hand... If your hungry, come over here and eat...Your kids bike is broken...Here my kid has some extra bike parts take whatever you need...No worries homie I got you....We don't have beautiful horse & carriages but we have those people we can call up at 2am and ask for gas because we ran out because we had to pay that gas bill,so the kids && family could stay warm...The light bill was due to,bills don't wait for no one, especially when your living check to check... and everyone needs to see,we need that electricity but I don't get paid until Friday... Risking it because you had work...it has to be done.. So you start your engine and pray....that you can get there and back on the fumes and you just one,two, three put in drive & go....But to have Friends to show up, in your time of
((unexpected need)) ....&& They'll get there as fast they can...A Kindness like that....is a beautiful great gift....Not to many of those people still around...
We don't have ball gowns and jewelry that's more expensive then houses in the hood...That's where I'm from.
.........Were out here barely making it..... We don't have your parties of extravagance and such glam & beauty.. We instead have backyard bbqs and drink...Watching uncle and auntie dance together to their song...It's a beautiful thing...Slow jams bumping .. They just been fighting for two weeks..Bills,stress and the hood will definitely do that to you.. add on life and kids..It can get hetic, struggling everyday..But we do it on repeat... Without ever getting one of your vacations to malibu or New York..Or the islands..Whatever u wish for the taking.....We get tax time trips..and it's not to new places across the world on airplanes or private jets.. it's in a hunk of metal were praying stays together..And we drive the coast line to the beach and spend the day.... Sometimes we get to stay the night but $100 for a motel on the ocean is to expensive for our blood..and that's even the cheapest room....We don't know what it's like to have no money worries..We do know how to wake up and be freezing cuz theres no heat, or no food in the fridge... We've lived threw times with no lights on in the house because we simply didn't have the money...We been evicted from places we didn't wanna leave...But the money wasn't coming in...So we had to unfortunately......The landlord didn't care we had no place to live...To take our kids and everything in this life we owned...They just cared that we got out of their roach invested apartment in 3days cuz the doors would be locked...Stuff out or not.....You know what we did...We wished we had another home like the people of money have..A summer home... But we faced reality and got to it.. Calling up anyone of these friend, who live in our streets...Who have the same "fairytale story" as we do.... Without hesitation "you have a place here" do u need help packing??" And to have genuine souls that care Soo much, is better then your wealth..Any day this what I would choose......Yes money helps and makes life comfortable and suits all your needs...No financial or everyday promblems breathing down your back everyday....That must be an amazing feeling........Let me tell you one thing......If I ever win the lottery... I'm not buying no castle in the hills but right here in the hood and I'm bringing back all those thank yous I handed out... I thanked Soo many people from here for helping out when I couldn't help myself at that time ....I lived this life....And I'll never forget those moments and hard times...Never.....Struggling and the ghetto build you differently..You can have gone to prison and not be s lawyer or dr like the rich ones...but I'd choose that imate over that accountant to have by back any day.... Hoodlife does something to you, maybe it's the struggle but it build character and bonds, hearts like no where else...We believe in not running and telling on so and so for those maryjane plants in the backyard because we know their just trying to make some extra cash to feed those little ones.....I'm coming right back and making sure now my hand reaches back...You helped save me, in this ghetto reality.. and if I have wealth then you do as well.... Whatever you want or need I'm sharing.... We're gonna win together....Stay strong and keep your head held high, that's how we smile while striving.... If I walked down your street I would see neighbors in their own houses, and nice cars in the driveways...Trees and white picked fences......If you were to walk me down my streets, you would witness the homies saying honking to each other as they passed by.. bumping oldies, or raps they just made themselves in the garage...You'll see the liquor store but don't be afraid because that's the safest place to be.. That old man isn't scary,he's just asking for change for a beer..He's one of the sweetest people I ever known..just took some loses..But then again look around, we all have... Well have the city buses running every 45minutes & the dogs not on chains but running the street not bitting anyone but yeah they'll bark you just gotta grab a stick..You'll be ok..You gotta be strong of you live in the hood..But also it gives you strength all in the same....I wouldn't choose Cinderella and Prince charming life and palace over this hood...I would choose great souls instead of money that comes and go's.... Fairytales are what you make them...
