Silent Tears
I wanted to find some light from you,
A light that glows like a sunbeam.
With it, I would be lit up—my dreams.

But my baby's heart was snatched away,
Leaving a pale face behind,
With the sadness of stolen glow, in my bare lap.

The curtain of time sprang up,
You stepped back, lost in dreams.
For one thousand times,
I tried to glean something from signs—

The connection was out of reach.
Distance swallowed it.
Before the story began.

I dragged the net for years,
Straining out that odd feeling,
Which had ignited baser instincts in me.

My futile imagination for hope,
Your head leaned on my shoulder.
But everything is nowhere
When this feeling is a closed door.
