Beyond My Grasp
Out of your league, no way could I compete
Each step towards my way, I taste defeat
Barefoot or heels, you give me what I need
A glance my way, more than enough to feed
Love from a distance, you admire my persistence
One day you'll see my gentleman way
Making you laugh, the devil's due I must pay
A hint of sugar as you walk ahead I recall
I knew it was you making me trip and finally fall
Hitting my lip as I fell for you I tasted
Touching my mouth, feeling for blood not a moment was wasted
Dropping your scarf, making haste to show your loss
A hint of perfume, and scent of your gloss
Wanting to keep a piece of you I hesitate and skip a beat
Taking off your heels, seeing those delicious and beautiful feet
Smiling as you witness my delusion
Turning to receive what you missed
Day dreaming and hoping for a kiss
Looking at me with those bright and seductive eyes
Instantly melting in front of you, I feel my demise
Biting your lip as you see what you like
Wanting to escape peddling away on my imaginary bike
To escape my boyish blush, not being able to handle too much
A stuttering sound escapes my foolish mind
Dreaming you'd ever want a man like me, I shall inevitably find
A perfect woman should ever be so kind
And finish my sentence without ever hearing what I had to say
Like a zombie slave I simply comply and obey
Even if you told me I had to jump over the moon
Anything you tell me to do, id jump at the task
To soften the blow, searching for my father's flask
Hidden in my coat, for just this kind of thing
Giving me courage asking how this came to be
A vision in my heart of just you and hopefully just me
