She sits on the horizon
staring into nowhere
she's been there for quite some time
her eyes used to shine like diamonds but they've lost their shine so I know she's been crying

She sits in total silence
she's been there for a while now
she used to light the sky up brightly
nowadays she never smiles and i know she's been crying
only she won't tell me so
she'd much rather sit in total silence
she'd much rather be alone

she got here running she'd been running from her pain
hoping to escape.. hoping to hide
she's been here ever since she believes she's escaped.
"I've run far enough I'll never be found" yet every day and all night she weeps and she cries
poor child how can you run from an enemy that cuts you down from inside
