The water it pours upon the drought

Waiting for rain to drown their cries.
I’m grateful for change
Grateful for strange
I’m grateful for love
The light above
I’m grateful to be alive
Grateful for my drive
I’m grateful for days that seem too long
Grateful for every pretty song
Grateful for little smiles
Even if it’s only for a while
I’m grateful to take back my life
Grateful for tough, trauma, and all my strife.
I’m grateful to learn lessons
Grateful to be present for blessings
