Not every Valentine's day pass with enough.

Someone's family had died,
While the divorced mothers cried,
And the lowly student's college acceptance had been denied.

Someone did the work of shame,
And some lived for the fame,
While the naive kids killed themselves for a game.

They say it is a day when two souls unite,
But someone's house is messed up because of a big fight.

They say it's a day when a girl confess to her crush,
And it's the same day when someone's dreams were flushed.

How can you say it's an auspicious day?
When hunger killed those dogs that have been astray.

How can you enjoy being with your wife?
When loans and debts made your mother cut herself from a knife.

How can you even state that your lover was the reason you survived?
Have you forgotten the sacrifice of the brave soldiers that have given their life?

Can't you see the daughter in law's being abused?
Can't you see those abandoned babies left with a bruise.

Have we lost our minds?
Where is the golden era when our hearts used to be kind?

Is this how we used to be?
Killing the wildlife and contaminating the Seas.

Please! dear youngsters, grow out of this delusion,
That love is just a game and kindness is an illusion.
