Over seas,
over land,
I'm proud!

My coat is my life
My shadow is my place of tranquil
My joy in me thrives

My heart beats the musical beats of my ancestors
Their blood filled in me like palm wine!
Their legacies, my pride!

I'm proudly African
The sun may beat my by day
The moon may eat me up by night

yet, my coat is my life
My life is my skin
My heart beats for joy in escalation!
