Like Fire And Ice
#DualNature

Too much of anything, is a dangerous flame,
Consuming passions, burning without shame,
Like fire, desires blaze, untamed and wild,
Their heat is like a siren's call, alluring, beguiled.

But uncontrolled, they scorch the soul's core,
Leaving embers of regret, a bitter sore,
Fire can burn and purify, true,
But it can also ravage, leaving scars that renew.

On the frozen side, there lies a heart of ice,
A frigid wasteland, where hatred takes its price,
Like ice, it chills, numbs, and envelops tight,
Extinguishing compassion, extinguishing light.

Hatred's cold grip can suffocate and freeze. Consuming ideas, causing spirits to seize,
It hardens hearts, making them oblivious to grace,
Leaving nothing but desolation in its chilly embrace.

However, just like fire, ice can heal,
Numbing pain, providing temporary relief,
It can harden wounds, preventing further harm,
But it must be used carefully, without alarm.

Let us learn from fire and ice's might,
To harness their power, tempering their plight,
Allow desires fuel our passion, but with control,
Lest they consume us, robbing us of our soul.

And let hatred's icy grip be short-lived,
Melting away when compassion is revived.
For only in balance, fire and ice can be,
A force for good, setting our spirits free.
