Like Evergreens Is Your Love
So much time has passed dear mother.
I cannot remember what I can call the last.
The trees have shed their leaves a hundred times now.
Yet it seems like the first fall, do you know how?
And now the seedlings have grown into plants.
There is always something new.
But your love is like evergreens.
They have changed not a bit for us.
Like the free and sweet offerings of the earth, the heart of yours contains no lust for benefit.
As I said, there shall be a lot which would be new.
But you are the same for us, for every rise of the sun, like the nimble morning dew.
You must give me a chance and you must again, whenever I plead or bleed for the end; that I love you.
I love you just like the soil beneath my feet, the ocean to its critters whether they lie shallow or deep.

Note:- I wrote this for Mother's Day. Today it is the day. I hope you like it!
