My life is an open book,
That led me through every nook,
And every corner of discovery,
Of life's long journey
It led me to paths dark
That left me feeling nothing but sad
It also led me to roads so bright
That left me with all smiles
Then it led me to you
To your loving arms
To your caring eyes
To your restoring smile
And when I thought I finally had a hang of it
It dragged you away from me
And left me in an abyss so blank hurt and confused
It reminded me of who's boss
It reminded me that it was never meant to be understood
That it just happens
That life just happens
