Distant And Persistent
I look to the sky,
Waiting for something to come by.
Imagination flows,
What could be out there, who knows.
An exact copy of us and the world in every detail,
But we live differently on a larger-scale.
Perhaps one seemingly strong outside,
With a acid storm inside that reeks of hydrogen sulfide.
Or one made entirely of water,
With creatures that will sure cause a slaughter.

Intelligent life sure to exist,
Quite believed to be in our midst.
Out there like us,
Gigantic and aren't interested to discuss.
Beings of grotesque limbs and parts,
Living with multiple hearts.
Slimy and sticky, or rough and rusted,
It would be hard to ever be adjusted.

Your mind can wander from such a thought,
Quite possibly leaving you in distraught.
Breaking laws of physics and bends all of time,
Deeper watch could bring us to greater prime.
Realize that it's the one in control,
And not a single soul on the entire globe.
Anything could happen to eradicate existence,
No answer to fix the consistent insistence.
