Mother Dearest
Mother! I hearken to thy call,
Whilst I feign to stand tall.
I dread the path ahead,
Where shadows of my fears are fed.
Mother! I seem to have lost all sense,
With the burden of my youthful commence.
How I hope, how I wish,
Thy guidance seeks justice.
I fold my palms, in prayer for aid,
The strength within me that thou hast made.
Mother! I seek for thy boon,
Ere I'm lost in the melancholy tune.
