A silent but spoken love
I love to be alone and time with you feels lonely. So I love to be with you because I'm only ever speaking to myself.

Thoughts creep through my mouth and fall to nothingness. Time with you moves slower.

I've never heard you speak to me and have the room be so silent. Your voice shrill against my own mind.

Insanity drips from your mouth and as I interject your path does not deflect. A moment you spent with you.

So the more we see each other the more we see ourselves. You speak to speak and I speak to be heard. Yet you don't listen and I don't either.

We fail. Time and time again we fail. Two souls looking for different boats stuck in the mist of time.

So I speak to you one last time. A goodbye. But you don't hear. I walk away and time moves a little faster now.

But I still hear that you speak. To your new man you talk. I wonder if you ever learned to listen. I hope he hears too.
