The People-Pleaser
There was once
A beautiful high school girl
Who was often used
For her kindness.
She could never refuse
Helping someone
Or help that was offered to her.
She could never say no.
To anyone.
Not if it didn't make them happy.
"Do you want to go out for tea
And spend time with me?"
"Yes." She doesn't like tea.
"Come on, are you ready
To get matching tattoos?"
"Of course." She never wanted a needle
In her skin other than for shots.
"C'mon, let's go
And hide in the bathroom."
"Alright!" She despise even the thought.
She never let her own wants
Rise above others'.
She never let her own needs
Come before another's.
If they needed or wanted her to,
She'd agree.
And very rarely would she
Ever say no.
"Do I look ugly?"
"No, never!"
That was it.
One evening,
A random man ran up to her
And shoved a bag
In her hands.
"You look nice,
So do me a favor:
If anyone asks,
This is yours,
And you never saw me," he said
Then ran off.
The girl stood in confusion,
Tempted to open the bag
But before she could
She felt a tap on her shoulder.
She turned to see
A police officer.
"Did you see a tall man,
Brown hair and blue eyes,
Wearing a black-and-grey outfit
Run past?" he asked.
She was about to say yes
Then remembered the man's request.
Unable to resist obeying,
She said, "No."
The officer eyes the bag
Then breaks the silence.
"Is that bag
Yours, perhaps?"
She again thought of the man,
And, knowing she shouldn't,
She whispered, "Yes."
The officer took it,
Unzipped it,
And looked inside.
His eyes grew wide.
He turned to his college,
Who'd remained unnoticed
Until now,
And handed him the bag.
He whispered something
Then turned to the girl.
He pulled out his hand cuffs.
The girl's eyes grew wide
And she realized
Her mistake.
"It wasn't really mine!
There was the man!"
She first time she'd spoke up
For herself and against another.
The officer didn't listen
And instead
Cuffed the innocent girls hands
Together.
"Your crime
Has landed you
A life-time sentence."
The girl begged and pleaded,
Told the truth,
Apologized for lying.
He wouldn't listen,
Instead forcing her into
His vehicle.
She caught a glimpse
Of the man who'd framed her,
Watching from the shadows.
She flashed him a glare
And promised herself,
"Never again."

Spread the word: STOP USING PEOPLE FOR THEIR KINDNESS, ESPECIALLY TO SAVE YOUR OWN SKIN! YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU CAN COST SOMEONE EVERYTHING BECAUSE OF IT!

Should I make the full story? LET ME KNOW!!!
