Could go on and on all night long , but no hope for sure
Should not fail to rest, but still kept on
Shiny but still too little to be as light
Carrying the torch and searching so hard
with strength and heart but still too frail
All down the drain, no hope again
Can still be found! so still kept on
Not yet in view but hope is near
Dim and dim the torch goes down
Can only be found with the light of dawn
still to come and sure shall come.
Waiting for another as the first is gone
not to be seen unless in dreams
