The battles within are the hardest to fight,
Yet she does it every day and night.
She tries to find some peace and light,
And hopes to win with all her might.

The battles within are not always clear;
All they cause is trouble and fear.
She wonders if they will ever disappear,
'Cos they always struck hard like a spear.

The battles within are not all the same:
Some are loud and fierce, some are tame.
She knows she is not the one to blame,
And people never want her to rise to fame.

But she does not give up on her dreams.
She knows she has the power to redeem.
