What is of armour
If not endured with a dent?
And yet what is of life
If not enjoyed and well-spent?

Impressed in mosaic
And scattered in patchwork—
The dressèd tapestries we make
Do matter not of their stitchwork.

As a heart can be filled
With so many a hole
But can anew be repaired
To replenish with soul.
