Like the white line down the middle of the road


Dividing wrong from right
Dividing day and night


I drove down the road of Darkness
Looking for the Light


I didn't have any doubt
The Truth would find me out


Although I had put up quite a fight

I started out in a desert
Driving with a godless thirst

I started off in the town of "Bad"

Driving to the town of
"Worse"


I headed for the exit
Trying to lose my history


Why I wanted to escape
Was not a mystery



Like the white line down the middle of the road

It was there to keep me safe

It had a path that you could trace


the path to save the human race

I gunned the engine
To 80

Then to 85


It's amazing with my reckless life

That I am still alive


So many signs are on the road

Some for soap
And some for sin



Some to find the way of life
& let salvation in


I saw the signs
I had run out of time
It was find the truth or bust

I decided to
Stop my running
And find out who I could trust

Like a white line
Down the middle of the road

You have to be on the right side

Either you'll end up where you need to be

Or get taken for a ride


Like the white line down the middle of the road

It makes sure the trip us safe

It will lead you on a journey

With signs to save the human race.
