No rest in this room
the fan spins above my head,
contained in a plastic case,
removing the smell of shit from the room,
they tried making it pretty,
tried hiding its purpose
and hoped I wouldn't notice
how ugly a human can get,
I did; we stink,
but some have fans to take it away,
some not,
and as the words come away
like cheep toilet paper,
I wonder what it takes
to get a little rest
and maybe take a shit
in peace?
