Tornado Season
#WritcoPoemPrompt108
Just as the rain started to fall,
Forces of good and evil instantly clashed,
In circles and in twirls that darkens all,
Thunder rumbled and lightning flashed,
Winds hurled and blew leaves and some sort of trash.
The harder it blew, and then came a crash.
Then in a matter of minutes the darkness grew more,
Then warning sirens started to roar
As I made my way out to find some protection,
I couldn't see where I was, I lost my direction.
Through that wind and that rain that led me along,
I was so thankful for the guidance of a stranger who helped me,
I had become weak and they were such help and so strong.
We arrived at our town hall and there found the ones we loved,
Such a joyous reunion from family and friends,
I feel like I had experienced a miracle, one sent from above.
