In life, you need to take a stand
I have always been a scared little girl
Afraid to tell how I feel
Afraid to take a stand for what I want
Always accepting what people want to give
Not thinking of my worth
Not thinking about who I am
But I am growing
My wings are growing
So I thought
They say
Make decisions
Make choices
Every time I do so
It always is a clip
And I fell again
Into a hole of being scared to make a decision
Every decision people would hate you
But you have to be brave and stand for what you want and what you don't
I try to stand and fly and grow today
But they were scissors waiting
To clip my wings
I have fallen
I now don't want to try that again
But I know I have to
God please help me grow
Stand up for myself
And give me the knowledge needed to achieve my goals
