An Encroaching end – of another year
Blurred by – monotone, greying days
Another end lurking just over one’s shoulders.

Dying season, approaching a long sleep

Shadows fall and prolong
Hovering as well as
Over tired mind…high on stress
And self-impose pressure
Entangled with anxiety.

By happens chance
Gazing upon a fallen leaf
Emblazon in red
And orange tips

Last bits of a dawning sunrise
Subtle reminder
Of an ever-returning light.
