The fragrance of my childhood,
Hides in the folds of your embrace,
It's the fragrance that brings back memories,
Memories of the good old days.
Days when we would bake cookies,
And laughter would fill the kitchen,
I would run around with you a step behind, as you smiled at my mischievous ways,
a trip and fall would be followed by a scolding, a tear down my cheeks.
A kiss would land on my forehead as you wipe the tears away, your smile would embrace me, and in your arms i would find shelter , and there i would wish to remain forever as you whisper.
"i love you my little one"
and i would smile,
"i love you the most mom"
