I stare in front of me
Scared what I might see
I round the corner
Knowing I'll be given the cold shoulder
Maybe I betrayed them
Betrayal is not simple
It's not like an easy controlled pimple
Motivation is key
Clearly, as you can see
Mine was rational
Yet, fear is what I deserve
I left them by the curb
With no one to turn to
I'm left in their shoes
