The drive home was so fucking long.
An eternity passed within me,
chained to the carseat.
I've never experienced an otherwise
empty car
so crowded.
I was pondering for hours
upon hours,
why were you unable to just look at me?
I think there might have still been something,
back there, behind that saddened smile
and behind those desolate eyes.

But I hope you still remember,
the rainstorms in the autumn mornings,
our footsteps in the snow,
cigarettes in the evenings,
the time, that moved so slow.

And if you ever saw beauty in me,
if it ever was present,
