A Teacher's Day Prayer
On this day,
O God !
I long
not for money ;
not for fames !
But, before the last flicker
in me dies ;
lemme, my Lord
kindle a thousand flames !
A thousand flames,
that will kindle
the flame of love,
and endeavour to
re-establish the Truth !
To establish the Truth,
O God..
Let the seedlings of knowledge
sprout in me !
And,
Let not the Teacher in me..
Be nipped in the bud..
And let not the Teacher in me
Be nipped in the bud !!
